Her top 3 books are the first three cookbooks I ever bought 50+ years ago. And yes I still use them. They should be in everyone's library not only for the recipes but for the cultures. Now I have to add Mother Sauce to mine.
I think anyone would eat very well using only Lucinda's top three cookbooks—classics for sure. Mother Sauce is a keeper too. I've been turning to it again and again.
Was not expecting Marcella Hazan to be her never-cooked book! Lucinda should give it a try—timeless recipes!
I’ve never cooked from it either…

Lucinda is the ultimate pro. I am always learning from her.
One of my favorite new cookbooks (and I love her others too)! Also, yes on the salted butter conversation--that is my go-to for baking.
I am glad to hear that about the butter! I always used unsalted, but never have been convinced to change my ways. Thanks for reading Kerry.
Such a wonderful interview! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for reading! She's so thoughtful about her books and all the other books.
Love this interview and so eager to make this artichoke dish.
It's really delicious and so easy (win-win).
