i’m maybe late for the summer cookbook suggestions but here are mine : Mezcla by Ixta Belfrage and then also Boustany by Sami Tamimi - both showcasing amazing recipes for summer produce!
Never too late for cookbook suggestions! I'm reading through Boustany now and will be cooking from it soon enough. So glad to hear it's a favorite of yours!
Great list I also like Sud, and Kismet. Easy recipes and many can be small plates with little to no cooking in hot weather. Thanks for you deep dive into the subject.
What a great list! I am going to add those we don’t already have (like Sodha’s Dinner) to our shelves. These titles all make us want to do more potlucks…
Dining In is a book I go back to every summer for the salads (melon and olives especially) and a lot of the desserts are summer-ish like my favorite, the strawberry shortcake cobbler
Not sure there’s a book I use every summer, but I’m definitely enjoying Plenty More (Ottolenghi), especially the salads. Love this catch-up format. I have a note somewhere about doing a monthly “round-up” but wasn’t quite sure how it would look. I might try something similar. Also, I think it was your about page that inspired me to do a brief “Q&A with myself” for mine, so thank you for that!
HI Giovanna! I'm glad this newsletter has been helpful as a model. I feel like there's a lot of trial and error on my end, but it has been fun to experiment.
Just checked and it looks like you don’t have the Q&A in your about section, so I must have been thinking of someone else. Sorry, I joined a couple of weeks ago and I’ve seen many accounts. But yes it’s been fun :)

appreciate everything from June being pulled together here!
So honoured to be in this lineup! And love this round up of cookbooks :)
Thanks for being here Abena!
Two older (British ) ones: Picnic by Claudia Roden; Forever Summer by Nigella Lawson

Thanks for the suggestions!

Thanks for reading Jo! Have you ever been in a cookbook club? I'm in two, and it's such a great way to taste multiple dishes from one book.
No, but I LOVE that idea!
Love your 1/2 year list!

Thanks Lisa! Love the Dining In suggestion! I'm going to include it in my next newsletter.

I did do a Q&A with myself as my first newsletter send!
I love this wrap up format. I am going to try it. And, thanks for the shout out!
I sent you an email about Salad Freak by Jess Damuck -- it's gorgeous!
Cold Cuisine Helen Hecht
Cool Kitchen Lauren Chattman
Those both sound like summer winners!
Thank you so much for including my love for backlists in your line up!
It's such a helpful and inspiring post/newsletter (or whatever we're calling them...).
